Make Orangeville the obvious choice to invest.
Attracting investment creates jobs, expands the tax base, and strengthens our local economy—while maintaining appropriate planning, safety, and community standards.

A Business Concierge Approach
From Permit to Shovels in the Ground
I want to work with Town staff, not around them, to identify ways to significantly reduce the time and uncertainty between submitting an application, receiving approvals and getting shovels in the ground.
The goal is to create a clear, predictable and highly competitive development timeline that gives businesses the confidence to invest in Orangeville.
We don't need to lower our standards. We need to make the process faster, clearer and more coordinated.
If we can create a level of certainty that businesses know what to expect, when to expect it and who is responsible for each step, Orangeville can become the natural choice for investment in the region.
Less uncertainty. Faster approvals. More investment. More opportunity.

Amplify Investment: From Permit to Shovels in the Ground
Getting a project approved shouldn't feel like navigating a maze.
A 2024 BILD Municipal Benchmarking Study, prepared by Altus Group Economic Consulting, found that municipal approvals for new housing in the GTA averaged 20 months. The study also found that every month of delay can add approximately $2,673–$5,576 per unit in costs.
The study compared 16 GTA municipalities, including Caledon, Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughan and Barrie, and found significant differences in approval timelines between municipalities.
My goal for Orangeville
I want to work with Town staff and the business community to identify where delays occur and create a more coordinated, predictable path from:
APPLICATION → APPROVAL → PERMIT → SHOVELS IN THE GROUND
This isn't about lowering standards or bypassing regulations. It's about better coordination, clearer expectations, measurable timelines and greater certainty for businesses and developers. If Orangeville can become known as a municipality where businesses know what is required, who is responsible and how long the process is expected to take, we can make certainty a competitive advantage.
